The Legal Services Agency decides who gets legal aid based on the law. There are different financial thresholds for legal aid, depending on your circumstances. If you get legal aid, you may have to pay some or all of it back.
Using this calculator will give you an indication about whether you might be financially eligible for civil/family legal aid. Getting legal aid will need a fuller assessment of your situation.
